Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager, High availability and performance tuning is a book published by PACKT Publishing and in their usual style is written by an author (Marius Sandbu) with extensive hands on experience of the product and provides a concise guide to a specific area of interest, in this case, designing ConfigMgr 2012 R2 for high availability.
In an efficiently presented 147 pages Sundbu successfully explains the concepts and methods to deploy a reliable System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager infrastructure while giving insights into the underlying interactions between the applications components and logical structure which provides the context for the recommendations.
It is the slight extension into a deeper level of exploration of the concepts that allows the reader to not only memorize a list of best practices but actually understand the product in a more complete way and have confidence in their ability to retain and use the knowledge in the real world.
This book is not aimed at teaching ConfigMgr from A-Z and is better suited for someone already familiar with the product who specifically wants to evaluate ways to improve on new deployments or refine existing designs of their System Center infrastructure.
If the criteria above fits you I would strongly recommend this book as I am sure you will come away with some good notes and thoughts around best practices and more resilient designs for you SCCM environment.
